These Terms and Conditions govern your relationship with OkayMentor. By engaging our services, you agree to the following professional standards and ethical guidelines.

1. Project Commencement & Financial Terms

To ensure professional dedication and resource allocation, all projects follow a structured payment milestone system:

  • Commencement Deposit: A 25% upfront deposit is required to initiate the project architecture, UI/UX design phase, and development setup. This deposit is non-refundable as it covers the initial resource commitment.
  • Progress Milestones: Payments are typically divided into stages (e.g., 30% after Beta version and the remaining balance upon final approval). Specific milestones will be defined in your project proposal.
  • Transparency: All work-in-progress is hosted on our Staging Server. You will be able to track live updates and provide feedback before any milestone payment is released.

2. Software Ownership & Intellectual Property

We believe in empowering our clients. Your investment is protected by the following ownership terms:

  • Source Code Transfer: Upon 100% payment clearance, full ownership of the source code and intellectual property is transferred to you.
  • Independence: We provide you with a solution that is independent of any single individual. You are not “locked-in” to our services; you own what you pay for.
  • The Repository: The complete GitHub/GitLab repository will be handed over immediately following the final payment.

3. Professional Continuity & “Clean Code” Ethics

At OkayMentor, we don’t just write code; we build Business Assets.

  • Future-Proof Architecture: We follow strict ES6+, Laravel, and modern Pythonic standards. Our code is documented and follows a “Clean Code” architecture.
  • Scalability: If we are ever unavailable in the future for any personal or unforeseen reason, any other senior developer can easily take over, update, or scale the system. Your investment remains 100% safe and sustainable.

4. Server, Deployment & Environment Setup

We ensure your software is production-ready from day one:

  • Consultation: We provide expert guidance on choosing the best hosting providers (AWS, DigitalOcean, VPS) based on your projected traffic and scale.
  • Security & Optimization: Every deployment includes SSL configuration, Database optimization, and Security Firewalls to protect your data.
  • Zero-Bug Deployment: We personally handle the transition from the development environment to your live production server to ensure a seamless launch.

5. Post-Launch Support & Warranty

Our relationship doesn’t end at deployment.

  • Dedicated Support Period: We provide 15 to 30 days of free deployment support after the official launch. This ensures that the system runs perfectly under real-world traffic and any minor post-launch bugs are addressed immediately.
  • Extended Maintenance: After the initial support period, custom maintenance packages are available to keep your system updated with the latest security patches.

6. Client Responsibilities

For a successful project, the client agrees to:

  • Provide necessary business logic and data requirements in a timely manner.
  • Review milestone updates within the agreed timeframe to keep the project on schedule.
  • Ensure timely payments as per the agreed milestones to avoid development pauses.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising shall be handled within the jurisdiction of the courts in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab.
